Weesp releases a new single called "There will come a time"

This song was written over a year ago, but it has not lost its relevance even now.

One of the first features that sticks out about Weesp’s Black Sails full length — available now — is just how unique the record feels. The tracks weave through an ambitious form of metal that avoids being blatantly in your face or obnoxious in favor of a smoother, more melodic presentation that picks up the listener and carries them along.

The production on the album has achieved the perfect balance between polished and rawness. Everything sounds huge and epic but still has the raw edge of a finely tuned band, ready to take over the world. After listening to Black Sails, I think it’s only a matter of time until they do.

Dynamic, diverse and wholesome Black Sails album is a 40-minute trip that consists of 9 tracks and is full of heavy riffing, melodic ballads, anger, pain and hope. The album sounds much heavier in both music and lyrical sense but at the same time, it preserves the same bright emotional message that’s typical for Weesp.

"It’s a song that grabs your attention and keeps it throughout. This is the first song by Weesp that I’ve heard and I love it. The screaming is not overdone or in your face with as much emotion presented through the instrumentals as the vocals."

Do you have any pre-show or post-show rituals?
Before the show our singer Lex always drinks 4cl of brandy, and everybody does a lot of sport exercises. And after the show – we bow, as in a fucking theatre.

Returning from the last tour, we’ve got in a car accident and have seriously damaged...

I was introduced to Weesp through Stencil PR, and thank god. Not only is “Illumination” a complete hit, but the music video adds detailed visual context to the song. The theme of this video is dark, however, the shots fire and heated metal amplify the lyrics “the world is on fire.”

The release of the full album, named ‘Black Sails’ is expected for the beginning of 2018, but guys promise to release at least 2 more single from the album before that.
